in the compassionate, holistic healthcare setting of Villa Maria.   Villa Maria, in Spanish, means country home of Mary.    Administrator and Staff work to make Villa Maria a comfortable retreat where everyone can relax and look forward to each day!    The present, 64 bed, Villa Maria was completed in 1976 and renovated in 1999.

.   The Villa recently achieved an unprecedented “no tag” QIS state survey – a first for a Kansas nursing home!  Recently, Rebecca Murray, administrator summed it up when she wrote,  “Life at Villa Maria is a journey, a memory, a reflection of [resident’s] heart and soul and is a passage for staff and [residents] to enjoy each other in a human relationship—not one of schedules and agendas, but one of kindness and thoughtfulness.”   We would invite you to come and see for yourself that Villa Maria and Maria Court are truly  family homes  “where love never grows old!”

  The Villa has embarked on the journey to person centered care which means that each person affected is involved in decision-making related to caregiving.    The former hallways are now renamed as neighborhoods – Cripple Creek Boulevard, Whispering Brook and Harmony Lane and have their own mission statements and mayors.
